Back Yard Project Part II

I can't believe it ....Troy and I got rid of that whole pile of grass and dirt all by ourselves today! We thought it would take us and the big kids working all evening to do it. We looked at the calendar for today and realized we would have to be gone from 6:00 to 8:00 tonight so he and I decided to tackle it this morning and see how far we got. This was all done by noon...I'm still amazed!

It's hard to see because of the shadow...but the whole big pile of dirt is gone!

It took 8 wheelbarrows full and we had to haul them up our rock path and carry them up a bunch of stairs so we could dump it on the hill behind our fence. It kicked our butts!...but it's done!!!!

Did I mention that after we hauled all the heavy stuff we then used this screen to sift out all the leftover stuff so we could use the "good" dirt in our flower beds. Now we have to dig down about 4 inches and even out the dirt so we can add the rubber playground chips. This is on the agenda tomorrow...but it will mostly be up to Troy because I have tennis tomorrow....good luck...honey!
