Saturday we got a frantic call from Mariah....she was leaving Target and stopped in the left hand turn lane when some ditsy girl on a cell phone or something was also turning left to go to Target and totally misjudged the driveway and hit Mariah in the front passenger side of her car.
Both her and her friend were okay...but really shook up. Troy and I were in Salt Lake watching Micah's football game. It was just getting really good when she called with the news so I left to help her. Luckily Troy's Dad was close and could get there before me....so he and her friends Dad helped them fill out the paper work and take care of everything. The other girl got the ticket and the police gave us the report with all her insurance information.
We were lucky the no one was hurt and that the damage was on the side of the car where some other minor scrapes were so we can just get it fixed and hopefully it will look almost new again....even though the car is 16 years old. I keep reminding myself that this is why we bought an old cheap car...but what a pain the you know what!!!

So sorry you got hit. That's really scarey, but happy that you were not hurt.
crunch! that looks awful! i hope everything pans out with the insurance, and i'm glad mariah is ok. what a dumb girl, how do you hit someone on the opposite side of their car?! that, i think, is called BAD AIM! sheesh!
So glad Mariah is OK:) That is truly a pain in the you know what though! I hope things went well with the insurance.
