OH WOW!!!! Micah got the best news after his last sophomore game....him and 12 other sophomore players get to dress varsity until playoffs are over!!!!
He picked up his varsity uniform and his number 27.
we thought this would be the extent of it...but with a few minutes left in the game the coaches put him in for two downs!!!!
This is the last play of the game and that is my kid playing corner back!!!!
And now he can say he got to play varsity too....Go Micah....hard work does pay off!!!!
I just have to say how proud I am of Micah and is determination to find a spot on this team. Being the realist parent that I am I tried to prepare him for a lot of hard work and the possibility of not a lot of play time. He was so dedicated and refused to take the annual family summer vacation to Lake Powell so he would not miss any football practices. I have to say that I was worried even with all his hard work he might not get to play as much as he wanted. To my great surprise Micah has played both offense and defense and has had three interceptions and two touchdowns and countless tackles this year to help his team go 8-1 in their season.
And now he can say he got to play varsity too....Go Micah....hard work does pay off!!!!
