3 weeks ago I was NOT looking forward to getting report cards....mostly because I never thought Mariah's grades would be this good! She had two D's and some C-'s...what in the heck!.... so after much discussion, explanation and hard work on her part can you believe she pulled a 3.3! I know it's not a big deal if your kid is a 4.0 kind of kid, but I'm really proud of her.
MICAH
Micah on the other hand is a little obsessive about his grades...he is upset he just missed the high honor roll. I wanted to blog about this because both Mariah and Micah decided they were going to get 4.0 for the 4th term....so now it's documented and we can see if it really happens. If you want to know the truth they are both totally capable of it every term, but I just can't get them to realize it!

i haven't seen taylor's report card yet and although they're generally good, i know he fell off the wagon this quarter with a few missing assignments. i told him this is the last quarter of "practicing" getting good grades. next year is when the colleges start being able to see what you've been doing. hopefully he'll redeem himself this year. good job to both of your kids!

Way to go both of you- none of my kids are 4.0 types, jack is always almost there!
We have the same issue- getting teens to apply & believe in themselves.
I tell you what those are grades to be proud of for sure- but 4.0's I hope they do it- you & I both know they can!!!
