Work and Play

We started this project on the spur of the moment...troy was looking at our old peeling wood stained play set and decided that it needs to be refinished....so he went to Home Depot and got some primer and outdoor paint that matched our outdoor furniture. Did you know they can match and mix any paint color if you bring in a sample? It was so great! After much sanding and a few hours of priming and painting it looks new again.

WORK

I love love love it .....so much so that Troy's new project is to finished the ugly gross deck on the side of our house...photos to come.

PLAY

After all the rain and crappy weather, I was so glad that our friends the Taylor's invited us up to their cabin for the weekend.


This is my dream cabin....really it's a home....but look how close it is to the water!!!!

We were supposed to take our boat so we could take the kiddos down to the lake and play all day...but the weather was so cold and bad that we brought our motorcycles instead. We took the kids on 4 wheeler rides....they had a blast!!! I kept saying over and over again that I could just live there permanently...it's so beautiful. We also took the Wii and had some pretty heated tournaments with tennis, bowling and boxing....the kids won the adults...what's up with that?

I didn't even care when this huge storm came over....there was thunder and lightning with rain and hail....what on earth?......It's summer people!!!

I kept hoping we would be stuck up there and couldn't leave...but no such luck.
